As any good cynic or realist would say, the world is not fair. It never has been and likely never will be. It is a talking point that will be repeated over and over again, ad infiniteum. That is just the reality of the situation. Good people get struck down every day for no good reason, while bad people continue on being allowed to exist. The bad are able to prosper, but the good are left to wallow. That is not always the way of the world, but it is certainly prevalent enough that it can seem that way. But there are always those who seek to level the playing field, those who seek to lend a helping hand, those like the
Wildcat foundation.
The organization is a recognized charitable institution. This of course means that if one were to make donations to it, then those donations could potentially be deducted from taxes. As a charity, their main goal is to help.
Their mission is simple. That simple mission would be render aids to schools that need it. They do this by enlarging their endowment and then sending some of that money off to a school that they determine has a legitimate need for it. That money is then supposed to help meet that need.
It is needed because children literally are the future. As such, they should be given as many opportunities to excel as possible. Those opportunities generally start at school. So schools should be given what they need in order to do what they do. But because schools get their funding straight from their districts, they may not always have the money they need.
It helps the community as a whole. The primary beneficiaries are the students, who can then go to schools that have the resources they need. But there is a ripple effect. When one aspect of the community improves, the others follow suit. A rising tide lifts all boats and whatnot.
It offers help by using money. The fact of the matter is that cold, hard cash is what makes the world go round. It is going to be needed in order to acquire goods and services, which means that educational institutions will have a desperate need for it in order to best cater to their students.
People volunteer for various reasons. For some, it is a requirement, penance for some crime that they committed in the past. For others, it is public relations, a task that makes them look good towards other people. Then there are the legitimately virtuous, those who render their time and labor for free because they simply care so much about the cause they are working for.
Donations can and should be made. The aid that they offer would be much more difficult to render without them. Now, donations can be made in the name of someone else, or in the memory if someone who is deceased.
The thing about people is that they have wants and needs. They have dreams. But not everyone is going to get to live their dreams. Some will fail in their attempt to do so. Others will never get the chance at all. But there are some out there who are trying to create opportunities for everyone.
